I run small, outside classes suitable for any breed from the ages of 12 weeks (when fully vaccinated) up to roughly 6 months of age. The idea of these classes is to set the foundations for all puppies with their basic manners and obedience as well as socialisation and some fun play. We focus on the basic commands, sit, stay, recall heelwork as well as manners needed to ensure that when they reach adulthood they are set up for more advanced training or to be a well rounded and well socialised dog. The sessions run on a weekly basis with no upfront fee just a weekly cost on attendance. I also run block booking smaller sessions so please contact me to enquire more. If further training is needed or desired then I also offer other advanced classes which means that your puppy training doesn't end at 6 months, it can continue right through vital training periods of your dogs adolescence
The sessions run on a Sunday with two distinct classes one for pets of all breeds and one for later intended competition dogs or gundogs. at an enclosed and safe field with easy access and lots of parking. Everyone who deals with the puppy on a regular basis are encouraged to attend the sessions if possible and I try to make sure there is a fun, light-hearted atmosphere to the sessions.
Puppy One to Ones:
Sometimes it is appropriate to start with a one to one before placing a puppy in a group class. If the puppy is under 4 months old then it may be that the one to one runs only for half an hour instead of the full one hour session as not all puppies can concentrate for that long.
Puppy Home Visits:
If you are new to owning a puppy or if it has been a while or if you would just like to have a home visit I offer home visits prior to collecting your puppy to ensure that you are ready and a few days after your puppy arrives you can have one or the other or both options and these are to ensure that the crucial first weeks start off on the right foot.
